Vanessa Etienne is a multimedia journalist who has published work in The New York Times, Men’s Health Magazine and BET Digital, among other digital and print news outlets. She is currently a staff writer/editor for People Magazine, reporting on topics ranging from sports and entertainment to health and style. She is also a photographer under her brand, Shots by Monét. With supplementary skills in graphic design and social media management, Vanessa works to become a well-rounded journalist as she continues her career. She holds a master's degree in journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School at CUNY and a bachelor's degree in communication and public relations from North Carolina State University. She is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
