Vanessa Etienne is a multimedia journalist who has published work in The New York Times, Men’s Health Magazine and BET Digital, among other digital and print news outlets. She is currently an emerging content writer for People Magazine, reporting on topics ranging from sports and entertainment to health and style. She is also a photographer under her brand, Shots by Monét. With supplementary skills in graphic design and social media management, Vanessa works to become a well-rounded journalist as she continues her career. She holds a master's degree in journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School at CUNY and a bachelor's degree in communication and public relations from North Carolina State University. She is also an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
